    I was thinking about trying this to make model making a little faster but i still dont no they are high and i dont want to spend 400 bucks and then it not be good enough yours look good but can it do crazy details like say a very high detail anime or video game characters

    • @chrisprenn
      @chrisprenn 16 годин тому

      3D scanning - at least with the given inexpensive technology - has physical limitations. There is the Revopoint Mini 2 for higher details on smaller objects (figurines, coins, ...). And then there is the Range 2 for bigger objects (people, cars, ...). You have to decide which scanner is best for your situation. Sorry ;)

    Hi Chris, thank you for your great tutorials! I have a question: if you want to combine particle collision with an object and use the same method to deflect the particles when they collide among themselves? I tried the method you used previously by just displacing them when they get close, but that gives a jittery motion not reminiscent of real collisions. I would like them to continue with their "reflected" velocity following the collision as with the collision with the diamond. There is probably not a short answer, but I think it’s an interesting problem.

    • @torher436
      @torher436 9 днів тому

      @@chrisprenn Hi Chris, thanks, I have seen it, but it's not what I'm looking for. In that tutorial particles are simply displaced if they are closer than a specified limit resulting in jittery movements. I wonder if and how it's possible to simulate a more accurate collision among the particles, i.e. how they retain velocity and fly apart according to pre-collision velocity.

    • @chrisprenn
      @chrisprenn 8 днів тому

      @@torher436 Particles are reflected accurately upon collision (no "specified limit") and I don't see jittery movements. Increase the sub frame calcs shown in the video (you can now use a repeat zone for that) and you can always do higher fps for smoother videos. But other than that 🤷🏻‍♂️

      Check chrisp.zone for the link to download the best AN version and use an older version of Blender (since the Python versions need to match) I think i had AN running a few weeks ago in Blender 4.1 - I can check tomorrow if you can't get it going

    • @martinhullwegen1005
      @martinhullwegen1005 17 днів тому

      @@chrisprenn Chris, many thanx for your quick answer. I'll aggree "Python versions need to match" is the problem to deal with. So if you like and if it's right, please confirm that the official build of AN was no longer updated so others (like you) spend (a lot of) time to make it possible using AN also with current and upcomming versions of blender? Is this a kind of what someone else will call 'a fork' of a pice of original software? BTW: I have currently helped myself by writing my own python script instead of using AN since i am only interested in scaling 3D bar charts with values from a JSON file and that's working well with 16 lines of code 🤓. Later on i will also try to read a MIDI file and use embedded CC data to "bake keyframes" out of the data values (0-127) to rotate e.g. some knobs and move some faders. Combined with some screen recording of an original running virtual instrument in a DAW i hoopefully get something like this: ua-cam.com/video/QIgkaDuJeQQ/v-deo.html
